St. John: Chapter 14

Let not your Heart be troubled, ye believe in God believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions
If it were not so I would have told you.
I go to prepare a place for you
I will come again, and receive you unto myself
That where I am ye may be also.

"A Room with a View"
Dedicated to Lorna
A poem from her dear friend in Heaven

Weep not for me, Nor woeful do cry.
I am "at peace" at long last -
With God on this night.
Sweet sorrow they say, Our parting will be,
Yet, parting becomes me, for Heaven I see.
I am free of the trappings of worldly cares.
I have "A Room with a View"
With God in the air.

I am loved beyond measure
Eternally sealed, No tears Hath this place
"The Truth", now revealed.
The "Glory of God" shines round - about me -
No Darkness nor Shadow will ever there be.
The view from this mansion you cannot conceive,
Reserved for God's righteous -
who choose to believe.

Take a deep breath and close now your eyes
As "The view from my Room"
I try to describe.
I look down on a city
Of twelve Holy foundations,
Each named for an apostle
Who taught God's will for Salvation.
I see four sets of three white pearly gates
Where Christ, arms opened wide,
Welcomes His Saints.

I see walls that of Jasper
Clear streets of Pure Gold
Where one Perfect Shepherd
Leads one perfect fold.
I see a good Godly Garden
I know you would like
Sitting Perfect, beside God's "River of Life".

Mere words can't convey
The joy of this place
I am safe warm and loved
In my Father's embrace

Lorna, "Strong in the Lord"
I urge you to be,
There's a room here for you -
And your heart holds the key.
The key to forever -
Together we two -
Can pray yet again
From our "Room with a View".
