ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD

  2 pkg. dry yeast
  6 cups flour
  1 Tablespoon sugar
  1 teaspoon salt
  1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  2 cups milk
  1/2 cup water
  Cornmeal

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and baking soda.In small saucepan, heat milk and water until warm, but not hot. Add to dry ingredients and beat well. Stir in remaining flour - batter will be very stiff. Grease two loaf pans and sprinkle with cornmeal. Spoon batter in pans and sprinkle tops with cornmeal. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately and cool.

I like this recipe because you don't have to knead the dough.
