I’m so sorry to report the death of one of our After Midnight family. Gloria Wright, who we knew as “Southern Belle”, died in a fire at her home last night. Gloria was such a delight to speak with. She was always so positive and upbeat. I was always in a better mood after talking with her. Although I never had the opportunity to meet her in person, I am, like many of you, feeling a real loss. As for me, things continue to go very well at WORD/WPIT. I am so pleased
that God has placed me in this place, working with really great people.
I’m still learning a lot about the stations, but making progress every
day. This week, I’m sitting in with Kenny Woods while he hosts the
morning programs on the two stations so I can learn the rather
complicated computer system which is used to play all the on-air
elements and programs. Next week, after Labor Day, I will fill in for
Kenny while he is on a much deserved vacation.
